Common questions

How does pricing work?
Zena will make a custom plan for you after a short conversation about your books and what you need. A flat fee is the default. Onboarding may be billed hourly until we know your workload and can price it properly.
Do you prepare tax returns?
We prepare and file payroll tax returns. For income tax returns we prepare the books your tax preparer needs and work alongside them.
Can we work remotely?
Yes. We meet in person in Ferndale and Whatcom County, and remotely anywhere in Washington State.
Which software do you use?
We work in the accounting software you already have, or set it up for you.
What should I bring to a first appointment?
Bank and card statements and whatever books you have, even if they're behind. Please don't email sensitive documents; bring them to the appointment.
Do you speak Russian or Ukrainian?
Yes. Services are available in English, Russian, and Ukrainian.
